Fuerteventura is the second largest of the seven Canaries Islands of the coast of North Africa. It has a magnificent climate and very clear blue waters from the Atlantic. 

Take a drive in your vehicle to the capital city of Puerto Rosario with its great little restaurants with traditional seafood or Canarian dishes. There is a more recent addition to the island in the form of the shipwrecked USS America. The ship was beached in 1994 and eventually sank. Its bow is still visible form the coast.

Corralejo is a fascinating town with an old harbor. Fishing is still very popular from the harbor wall. Playa La Clavellina is a sheltered beach that is extremely popular with the locals. There is also a ferry out to La Isla de Los Lobos.
